Employees of Cherry Cove Land Development voluntarily participate in the following projects: Easter Gala: Annual Easter celebration that the employees coordinate for the children who live in our communities. Employees volunteer time and donate cash and prizes for this event. We have an Easter Egg Hunt, an egg dying contest, a raffle, and games. National Night Out: Annual celebration for residents who live in our communities that employees coordinate. All funding for this event is solicited by the employees during their free time. We have a DJ, lots of food, games, a "Moon Bounce" for the kids, and tons of great prizes, all donated by local merchants! Thanksgiving Basket: The employees of Cherry Cove donate food items that fill a large laundry basket and donate it to a needy family in one of our communities. In 2002, the employees generosity filled two baskets to overflowing allowing us to help two families! Christmas "Adoption": Cherry Cove employees "adopt" a needy family, sometimes two families, every year. Employees donate groceries for a food basket and money to buy gifts for the "adopted" family. Several employee "elves" deliver the food and gifts to the families just in time for Santa! |
